CBAM is the European Union’s regulatory framework for calculating the carbon footprint of imports of CO₂-intensive goods into the EU.
The aim of CBAM is to prevent “carbon leakage” — that is, the relocation of production outside the EU to countries with less stringent climate standards.
The implementation period began on 1 January 2026, and reporting obligations currently cover imports of goods in the following categories: cement, electricity, fertilisers, iron and steel, aluminium, and chemicals (hydrogen).
How can we help?
We provide expert support to companies dealing in goods covered by the CBAM regulation.
Our services include:
1. Preparation of internal procedures and documentation demonstrating financial and operational capacity when applying for authorised CBAM declarant status.
2. Support in compiling a CBAM report ready for submission to the CBAM registry, in accordance with Annex I of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1773 laying down the rules for the application of Regulation (EU) 2023/956 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
If your company imports goods from third countries, timely preparation for CBAM can significantly reduce administrative and regulatory risks.
